Wellness

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” – Hippocrates

You can't have one without the other.

Being physically unwell can cause or worsen mental health symptoms.

Physical wellness is directly related to your mental wellness. Health problems greatly increase your risk of mental health disorders (and vice versa). You cannot expect to reach your full mental health & wellness potential without addressing your overall physical wellness.

Addressing the root causes of your symptoms can improve your physical health and your mental wellness.

What is the link between our physical and mental health?

Everything is connected! The food we eat can cause inflammation. Inflammation and oxidative stress can occur from eating highly processed foods and can worsen your health. Chronic inflammation can lead to multiple chronic medical conditions. There are micronutrient and gut health deficiencies commonly in people with chronic medical and/or mental health disorders. Hormone imbalances, particularly in women, can be physically uncomfortable and cause emotional distress.

 You are in control!

It is up to us to watch what we put in our body. Our body is our vessel for our entire life. Keep it in good condition and work with a provider who can get you back on track- and keep it that way.
