Medication response isn’t always predictable, especially if past prescriptions were trial-and-error without follow-up. At Premier Mental Health & Wellness, we take a more thorough approach, combining your personal concerns with genetic compatibility testing. For some clients, our pharmacogenetic testing reveals how their body processes certain medications, helping us avoid future missteps.

Frequently Asked Questions
Medication Management
Of course, you can! Medication and therapy don’t compete—they complement each other.
Taking medication helps balance your neurochemistry, while therapy allows you to work through patterns, triggers, trauma, and feelings. In many cases, the two together can improve your progress more efficiently.
We have many clients who receive outpatient therapy or family therapy and are also medicated. This collaborative model allows us to track how the medication is working while making further progress during our sessions.
For every patient, it’s different and depends on how the body reacts to the treatment. Some medications, like antidepressants, take 4 to 6 weeks to show improvement. If a medication isn’t working, let us know, and we can try something different.
We monitor you closely from the start and check in frequently to discuss how you are feeling. If something feels off, we can talk about it. This proactive approach is what makes medication management feel less like a guessing game and more like a guided process.
We offer virtual counseling to therapy seekers as young as 12 years old. Our gurus provide virtual mental health solutions for people of all ages, making our services versatile, effective, and specific to what you need.
