Some different approaches to family therapy include:
Functional Family Therapy
FFT assesses family dynamics to explore the impact they have on the child’s behavior while working to improve family communication and parenting skills. A large part of this is practicing positive reinforcement.
Strategic Family Therapy
Strategic family therapy focuses on making structural and immediate behavioral changes in the family environment. This type of therapy views the family as interconnected, meaning everyone’s behavior impacts the other, which can affect a child’s development.
Structural Family Therapy
Structural family therapy concentrates on inner relationships, boundaries, and hierarchies within a family. We evaluate direct interactions and problematic patterns or habits, so we can learn how to set boundaries and incorporate positive communication.
Systemic Family Therapy
For this type of therapy, we look at the family as a whole—as a system. Our experts assess behavior and behavioral influence, communication styles, and how you interact to find ways to improve the family system.
