Pre-Marital Counseling in Dallas

Invest In Your Relationships.

Before “I Do”: Build a Strong Foundation

Relationships take work. So do we.

It’s easy to focus on planning a beautiful wedding, but getting married is about more than that. It’s about preparing for the life you’ll build together after the celebration is over.

Pre-marital counseling in Dallas gives you and your partner a dedicated space to talk about the things that matter before you say “I do.” You can explore your expectations, understand each other’s communication styles, and have honest conversations about the future, all while your relationship is in a positive place.

At Premier Mental Health & Wellness, we believe you don’t have to wait for a problem to invest in your relationship. Premarital counseling takes a proactive approach, helping you and your partner strengthen the connection you already share and prepare for the changes and decisions that come with marriage.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Communication and listening styles

  • Finances and shared responsibilities

  • Expectations for married life

  • Family planning and parenting

  • Conflict styles and resolution

  • Personal and shared values

A Thoughtful Approach to Preparing for Marriage

Our Before “I Do”: The Foundation program gives you and your partner a structured way to explore the important parts of your future together. Rather than trying to fit every important conversation into one or two appointments, the program gives you time to slow down, talk openly, and work through each topic thoughtfully.

The program includes 10 sessions with Kate Hilton, LMFT-Associate, and a relationship assessment. Kate is a trained PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator, allowing couples to use this relationship assessment as part of the premarital process.

The assessment should help you and your partner better understand your relationship strengths and identify areas where you want to grow. Your sessions then give you the opportunity to talk through what you discover and develop practical tools you can continue using throughout your marriage.

The program is offered on a self-pay basis for $1,300. Packages provide a complete premarital counseling experience rather than requiring you to navigate the process one session at a time.

How Pre-Marital Counseling Works

 Intake & Goals

Your first step involves getting to know your therapist and helping her understand what you hope to gain from counseling. Kate will ask about your relationship, your goals, and the areas you want to explore together.

Guided Sessions

Each session gives you space to discuss an important part of married life. You’ll explore communication, conflict, expectations, family, finances, values, and other topics that can shape your future together.

Tools for the Future

The goal is to give you more than pleasant, mediated conversations. You’ll develop practical tools and a better understanding of each other that you can continue using as you navigate married life together.

Preparing Couples for the Life They’ll Build Together

Kate Hilton, LMFT-Associate, provides pre-marital counseling in Dallas for couples who want to enter marriage with intention. Her approach is centered on helping couples understand their relationship dynamics, communicate openly, and feel more confident navigating the conversations that come with building a life together.

As a PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator, Kate can incorporate a structured relationship assessment into the pre-marital process while still keeping your sessions personal and focused on your relationship.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin this new step in your relationship. Kate’s goal is to create a comfortable space where both partners can be heard, ask questions, and have honest conversations about what comes next.
